Two-Year Check-up!

Paxton had his 2-year check-up today and is looking good!

He was 31 pounds and 34 inches tall which puts him between the 50th and 75th percentile for both, just like he has been since about three months old!

He is developing right on track in almost every area. He is a little behind in the speech department. He should be using pronouns and two or three word phrases but he isn't. He should also be saying more words. It seems like in the past few days, he has started saying a few new words and they are all really clear. It also seems like he has realized that communicating with us allows him to get what he wants, so that seems to be motivating him to try harder. We are going to watch him for two more months and if he is still behind we will probably try speech.

He got a shot which is always hard, but he stopped crying pretty much as soon as it was over. He was running around right afterwards so it didn't seem to bother him.

While we were waiting for Dr. Campbell, Pax kept opening the drawer where they keep the books as he said "open it", so I would ask him if he wanted to read a book and he would say "nooo" and shut the drawer. It was pretty cool because he has never really used no to answer a question before.
