May in Review

May flew by! We started out the month with the drive back from Oklahoma.
When we got back to NC, it really felt like summer. The weather is different from Oklahoma...it is warm here but not scorching hot and windy like it is in OK. We have been outside a ton this month.
Porter had his one year check-up where he weighed 22 pounds and was 29 inches tall. He was in the 65th percentile for weight and only the 30th for height.
I celebrated my FOURTH Mother's Day with some perfect presents and dinner at McAlister's.
We spent lots of time with our friends.
And went to the Got to Be NC fair...
...where Paxton rode his second fair ride, a red helicopter, with Mommy. He still talks about how fun it was, although at the time he was a little nervous.
And we watched the fireworks display.
We painted and set up Paxton's big boy bed.
And transitioned his room to more of a big boy room.
Blakely and Tabatha came to visit.
And we visited Falls Lake as a family.
We went strawberry picking and ate four pounds of fresh strawberries in about four days.
We spent lots of time in the pool.
And at the splash pad.
We ate Popsicles on the back porch way more than once.
And while Jared was out of town, the boys and I went to a concert at the American Tobacco Campus with our friends.
I think May has been our favorite month here so far. The nice weather and the ability to be outside almost every day have helped so much, plus the fact that we were fresh from a trip to Oklahoma. We have found some fun things to do and spent lots of time with friends.
